The Korean documentary "The Arctic"

Updated: Feb 22, 2019

In 2017 the Korean TV company "YTN Science" filmed the documentary "The Arctic" which is about traditional Inuit way of life, hunting, food and climate changes. This documentary consists of 3 different parts and all of them are in the Korean language.

There are no this documentaries in English or with English subtitles yet (I didn't find them) but I hope it will be on the Internet one day (or I will do it 🙂).

In the filming of the 1st and 2nd parts of the documentary Aleqatsiaq Peary (Hivshu's eldest son) took part (see all the links in the post). From all these films we can see and understand that he is a very good hunter and he manages dog sledges very skillfully. I'm sure that it is the very wonderful person who can show and teach you many things if you are interested in the Inuit traditional way of life. The filming crew shows Inuit life in details and it is possible to understand most part of every documentary without knowing/understanding the Korean language.
